Homosexual terrorism.  That’ll convince ‘em:

Letters containing a suspicious white powder were sent Thursday to Mormon temples in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City that were the sites of protests against the church’s support of California‘s gay marriage ban.

The temple in the Westwood area of Los Angeles was evacuated before a hazardous materials crew determined the envelope’s contents were not toxic, said FBI spokesman Jason Pack.

The temple in downtown Salt Lake City, where the church is based, received a similar envelope containing a white powder that spilled onto a clerk’s hand.

The room was decontaminated and the envelope taken by the FBI for testing. The clerk showed no signs of illness, but the scare shut down a building at Temple Square for more than an hour, said Scott Freitag, a spokesman for the Salt Lake City Fire Department.

Morons.

Nation-wide protests have been planned for tomorrow, Nov. 15.

Terrorists displaying their particular brand of justice. I note that Susan Russell has yet to notice much less condemn this sort of justice activity. Ah, well, lie down with dogs, get up with fleas and that sort of thing, I suppose.

As others have said, this will have nothing but a boomerang effect for the most part. Acts of hatred and violence by these religiophobes and heterophobes show their complete lack of the “tolerance” and “inclusiveness” that they clamor for, and reveal that behind their own accusations of hatred lies a genuine desire to commit hateful acts.

I’d love to have one of these nimrods come to my church. The doors would promptly be locked, and a call placed to 911. No violence would be done (on our part) nor would there be any ranting or screaming – but the perpetrator would not be allowed to simply waltz off in triumph. They’d leave in cuffs, with a court date waiting them………

ps – I strongly encourage that the terms “religiophobes” and “heterphobes” start being used in earnest every time a reference is made to these people. They’e earned it.

We had protesters last Sunday. They stood across the street holding “No on 8″ signs. One of our parishioners went over to them, welcomed them, and asked if they’d like something to drink. Coffee? No? Can I get you a glass of water? Would you like to come in and worship with us?

They went away.

Sue M.–That’s exactly the right response. This is a ministry opportunity, not only to those who disagree with us, but also to the large number of people who will be watching to see how we respond.

Sue, that was an *excellent* response!!!

Will Homeland Security treat it as terrorism, I wonders, I does.

In Michigan, the police won’t follow up on the church desecration there.

Remember, they chose the 70th anniversary of Krystalnacht to do this on. I doubt that they did so ignorant of the symbolism of that day when Ernst Rohm’s homosexualist S.A. broke the windows and ransacked the businesses of Jews throughout the Germanies.

That is scary. But it is good to know what we are up against. To be prepared.

Not morons, Chris. They are Loon Left terrorist criminals who, should they be discovered, are candidates for something famous on the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler:

Gay Terrorists, Tree, Rope

Some assembly required.

No, Jim+, no lynching. I know you’re kidding.

A comment at SF says that an envelope with white powder was received at a Knights of Columbus office somewhere in the East.

Not lynching. Justice.

If someone walked into my home with the intent of harming me or my children, they would be met with resistance by force. Send anthrax in the mail to me, and I will prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law and take every dime I can get (donating the money to my medical protection first, then donating the rest to EXODUS or some other pro-orthodox LGBT ministry).

There is a reason so many conservatives are arming themselves in this country. There is great fear – and it is understandable. Until we call these people what they are (namely, domestic terrorists) and force the legal system to treat them as such, many of us are preparing to protect ourselves from their violence the old-fashioned way.

If the “assembly required” is prosecution and legal punishment, then I’m with you, Jim+. And also of course acting directly in the defense of self or another person being attacked is legal and moral.

a more primitive part of me says beat them into a pulp as a warning to anyone else that wants to try to disrupt church services.

Sue Martinez’ example is the correct one. Christians are going to have to prepare themselves to suffer some indignities at the hands of these people. That suffering just might wake up the somnambulists in our society to what is really going on.

My first reaction was much like the Rev. Mr MacNeely’s but something I’d read recently while thinking of the recent elections kind of cancelled that thought pretty quickly.
It’s out of Philippians 1 and goes much like ‘Only conduct(let your manner of life,ESV)yourselves in a manner worthy of the Gospel of Christ so that whether I come or remain absent,I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the Gospel
in no way alarmed(terrified, spooked, stampeded)by your opponents-which is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you,and that too from God.’1:27-28 NASB
Stand Firm-in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the Faith of the Gospel
It may not be the destruction yet to come for them but it sure will put a crimp in their confidence
