Well tthat takes care of the homeless situation. I am assuming that if they can’t afford housing they can’t afford insurance…
And what with constructing all those new homeless shelters/jails and hiring all those new prison guards, not to mention the courts, judges and clerks, the unemployment rate will go down.

Hmmm. If I don’t buy health insurance and I refuse to pay the fine, then I will be sent to prison, where I will receive free medical care, not to mention dental and optometry and free prescriptions. Plus, room and board, three hots a day, probably a handball area, and weekends off. Seems like a winning hand to me!

Recall that one of the many things which did in HillaryCare was the discovery of several provisions for large fines and jail terms for patients and doctors who went around the system. At the time, the standard response was always “I have no idea how that got in there, and it will be fixed!” We are seeing the same now, but kept under better cover.

But, Don, what about any wife and kids? With you in the clink, who’ll support them? And if they have no support, how will THEY pay for medical insurance, and the fine for failure to buy it? I know! They can go to jail WITH you! At one bold stroke, Obama has resurrected the Victorian Debtor’s Prison!

What’s next? Will they threaten us with jail if you refuse to pay into Social Security?! Oh wait.

But remember, it’s not a tax. Because that would break Obama’s solemn promise that there will be no new taxes of any kind for anyone who earns under $250,000.
