Heh, very entertaining, funny, well written. But my Inner Schoolmarm noticed a few cases of subject-predicate non-agreement. Tsk!!! (Alas, the Inner Schoolmarm is always in overdrive. Some of my friends have been known to find this obnoxious, but what can I say? It’s a pathology.)

Remember, diane, today’s pathology is tomorrow’s civil rights struggle. Or, something like that…. Good luck!

Diane–in all seriousness, point me to them. I try to watch the grammar.

I believe someone mentioned, in another thread, the … shall we say? vigor of Catholic blogs?

I am RC but have not checked The American Catholic blog very often. As I was looking at the site, I was surprised by the number of websites representing the Democratic Party (as well as the sites of other organizations that could perhaps be labelled as more “liberal”) that are listed under the heading of “Catholic Sites”. Links to the Republican Party sites as well as other more conservative sites are listed under “Secular Sites.” Interesting but intellectually odd … perhaps giving a picture of the sympathies of the contributors to The American Catholic blog. One also assumes that the contributors to the blog are inordinately proud of the voting records of so many of our “fine” self-declared Catholic politicians.

I remember this guy from Mark Shea’s site. Of course I gave up Shea several years ago (he’s pretty nasty himself) so I had no idea that MM was still around and stinking up other sites as well.

Nice smackdown, Dale. Reasoning will only go so far with some of these people; sometimes you just have to take the gloves off.

Dale reminded me of PJ O’Rourke on Mike Royko: “Mike’s got a tongue like a lash and I don’t want to get in its way.”

Shouldn’t one try to stand up to bullies rather than “stay on their good side”? Frankly, the puerile tone coupled with the veiled threat of violence suggests a rather adolesecent mindset. And you heap on the praise??

Adding “whiner” to your list of flaws isn’t a good idea, Tony.

The solution is painfully simple, and stated at the top of the post: apologize for your lies and smears and it comes down. Your refusal to take responsibility for your actions speaks yet another volume about your character. And it’s a whole lot grimmer than “puerile” and “adolescent.”

Be that as it may, eventually you will render me an apology.
