The Episcopal left is REALLY bent about that secret Parsley same-sex marriage committee thing:

Resolved, the House of _______ concurring, That the 76th General Convention direct that the membership of all committees, subcommittees, task forces and panels elected or appointed by any body or leader of The Episcopal Church (including, but not limited to, the House of Deputies, the House of Bishops, the Executive Council, Standing Commissions, Committees, Agencies and Boards of The Episcopal Church and their respective Presiding Officers and Chairs) be made public no later than 30 days after election or appointment.

Why?  You get one guess.

The Episcopal Church should model in its governance and life the transparency and openness all Christians are called to demonstrate. Our

calls us to seek Christ in all people and to respect the dignity of every human being. Transparency in our dealings with one another is one way human dignity is respected. Conversely, secrecy is destructive of human dignity and of our common life. Making public the names of persons elected or appointed to any body charged to work in Christ’s name for the good of the Church serves the Church’s health and promotes trust in one another.

Ladies and gentlemen, the Episcopal Organization’s first great pick-up line.  “What do you mean, no, baby?  You’re not respecting my dignity.  How is that respecting my dignity?”

On a more serious note, I agree that some folks are seriously bent out of shape. It means they want names public so they can attempt to gently persuade (LOL) people to the pro-gay marriage POV with human dignity. Because in CA some of the gay rights folks had such dignity. They got people fired, posted their addresses, sent white powder to churches, grabbed a crucifix out of the hands of a senior citizen and threw it on the ground. But of course, all the Episcopal gays marriage rights folks only want “transparency” and the “respect of human dignity.”

Heh. The left got their favorite candidate made Presiding Bishop, and have promoted her pretty much as a saint, and then she crosses them. So now they have a hissy fit. Poor babies.

For the proper meaning of “openness and transparency” see any video of the Gay Pride parades attended by bishops of the ECUSA/TEC/GCC/EO-PAC in promotion of the Gay Agenda in the gay church formerly known as episcopal. There’ll be enough “openness and transparency” to satisfy the most adamant about what is intended for all proponents of “gay” equality.

In view of this demonstrated standard of “openness and transparency” the bishops had best get their sex videos ready for release to assure that they are in step with the times.

Oh, and they might want to name names on committees so the openly transparently not in agreement with the agenda can be encouraged to “listen” harder.

I really don’t get this at all. I’m sure that as the bishop who presides over the House of Bishops their queen knew all along who was on the committee. Why didn’t they are her?

So if the Standing Committee of Outer Upper Northern Inner Southland appoints a panel to oversee the flower-arranging rota, these guys want to know all about it?

Really?

Do they not have any conception of the sheer amount of “committees, subcommittees, task forces and panels” floating about the place?

I think this resolution should be passed, and that every single scrap of paper for the “body or leader of The Episcopal Church (including, but not limited to, the House of Deputies, the House of Bishops, the Executive Council, Standing Commissions, Committees, Agencies and Boards of The Episcopal Church and their respective Presiding Officers and Chairs” be sent to these people, and they asked to produce a report demonstrating that they’ve read said documents.

Oh, yes indeed. Every. Single. Page.

Well, it’s not a secret anymore: David Virtue says that Lisa Fox has outed the committee: http://www.virtueonline.org/portal/modules/news/article.php?storyid=10738

I wonder who squealed? With the whole “church” infested by homosexual termites, no doubt it was easy to find an informant who’d leak the news. It’s hardly important, since everyone knows that nothing but the sound of contented purring will be heard when the subject is homosexuality, but I guess they want to make a stern example so such counter-revolutionary actions become literally unthinkable in the future.

I must have missed those Bible passages about “transparency and openness.”

As a matter of fact, the only Bible quote I can think of, just offhand is Matthew 10:16: Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
