I saw the news about releasing all the ILLEGAL immigrants earlier today and immediately assumed that was a direct diktat from Obama.

I don’t always agree with some of Limbaugh’s hyperbole, but the amount of sequester hysteria is ridiculous.

Every mayor or governor or school board head who faces cuts of 1-2% or decreases in the rates of increase and decides to lay off cops and fire fighters, or teachers first to inflict the most pain instead of the legions of bureaucrats and administrators or cutting travel or other expenses should be attacked with pitchforks and torches like villagers going after Frankenstein.

It’s extortion, plain and simple. Government looks after government first and foremost.

I think our ancients forebears used to call this “penny wise, pound foolish”

The hysteria over modest reductions to spending increases is exceeded in stupidity only by the people who believe it (or say they do).

Let me see. We won’t have enough money to defend the law, but we will have enough for a First Family vacation in some exotic location.

You could believe that this country had not reached the tipping point until the last election. That, combined with the MSM becoming an adjunct of the WH press office, and the GOP being unwilling to stand up and yell “Horse SH*T!” at every opportunity, makes it hard to have much emotional commitment. As a good Catholic friend said, despair is a sin, but realism is not. We have twice elected a what used to be called a Third World dictator, steeped in “Chicago Values.”

And Obama is warring against red states already. Note that releases are in red Texas, Louisiana, Arizona, and in purple Florida. Has anyone heard of a release in California? Hmmmm?

I am gobsmacked that the Congress lets Obama get away with this kind of stupidity. He is breaking the law. At some point, this has to reach the level of “high crimes and misdemeanors…”

Rush led off his show today with the release and stated, “This is an impeachable offense.”

I also have pretty much stopped giving a crap and concentrate on my kids, brothers and long-time friends. With social security and care from the VA I’m doing fine. And I don’t even have to worry about dying – the Obama Death Panel will make that decision for me.

I haven’t seen the Pope’s resignation blamed on the sequester . . . yet.

It’s an interesting contrast, Wannabe. On the one hand, all the world focused on the Pope, retiring to pray for the church. On the other, a President who claims the upcoming sequester signals the end of the world as we know it, and he’s doing absolutely nothing to prevent the disaster he claims is coming, nor is his party’s leader in the Senate. I take the Pope seriously; the President, not at all.
