Read the transcript of the text messages sent by the Dem candidate’s “husband”. Absolutely vile and racist. No doubt the ACLU will be riding to the victim’s defense any minute now.

Possibly not, Lakewood, since the victim supports the wrong candidate.

This is in liberal Dane County, the same place where Tommy Thompson’s senatorial opponent hails from. They don’t respect differing opinions there.

Not a mention of this at Episcopal Cafe, though I’m not surprised. I don’t know Jim (met him once at a DioWash convention, but from what of his I have read I could believe that he thinks the guy might have deserved it.

The really precious (but even more damning) thing is that the “husband” of the Democratic candidate threatened the victim at length, and in a way the “husband” can’t plausibly deny. Add to that the text sent at 10:28 sounds very close to assault.

I have to think the criminal(s) who did this will be brought to justice rather soon.

Interesting. When I posted the link on the other thread not too long ago, details of the threats were available. Now it’s just a brief summary.

This will be swept under the rug. In all likelihood this felon won’t be held accountable until after death.

A gay Republican volunteer beaten last week in Madison by an unidentified individual is alleging that prior to the attack he received harassment from other gays,

Gays can be homophobic? Cause that’s going to be the spin. What happens when you are a small percentage of a small percentage!

Something about this story did not quite ring true when I first read it, even though it was plausible. Just like blacks who support Republican candidates catch a lot of flack, I would imagine that gays who support Republican candidates might receive some pushback from fellow gays.

this fellow obviously has “issues.”

I didn’t read the Media Matters refutation article. However, it is Media Matters which is a highly politicized Left wing propagandist organization. Is the refutation really true?

BillB, the original article and this one was at Media Trackers, which says it is a conservative organization. They include a link to the Madison Police incident report in which they say the complaint has been recanted. I hate being right about this. It sounded iffy to me, and I was waiting for confirmation. Apparently this is another sad person who craves attention.

Well, my earlier comment stands but just change which miscreant is described by the term “this felon”. False reporting of “hate crimes” should be punished at least as severely as the putative offenses themselves.

“…fabricated or otherwise false?”

And he is a moron or otherwise stupid.

Plus, I am agog or otherwise shocked that a homo would lie about an attack on a homo for being a homo. Bet this is the first time that has ever happened. Then again, it could be the second or otherwise time.

I don’t think its that odd, really. We had a story of a lesbian here in NE that supposedly was assaulted by some folks on account of her being a lesbian. They allegedly beat her, cut slurs into her, and tried to torch her place. Low and behold, she did it to herself.

Folks around me were suprised, I wasn’t the least bit. There are already a few screws loose up their, its not much of a leap to the next level.
