This is why I rarely make charitable donations domestically any more. Because I already am.

It’s like the Monty Python “Dennis Moore” skit, played out in real life, under our noses.

In theory this appears to be from page 2A of the Brunswick Times (GA) Tuesday Apr 3, 2012. There is a pdf you can find if you search for the title.

a) people who don’t have bank accounts take all their money in cash. Her $800 might have been a month’s welfare.

Most places pay welfare benefits by check or on e-cards. I doubt the state of Georgia is handing out welfare in large sums of cash.

I never carry around more than about $20 at a time, and keep it together with a paper clip.

I also work 60-70 hour weeks. Gotta keep working hard so people like this can have their $600 leather alternatives to my paper clip.

The news item didn’t give the make or model of her car. I’m guessing BMW, Mercedes or Cadillac.
