Forget Kenya. Christopher Hitchens wonders if Barack Obama is secretly Swiss.

I do enjoy reading Hitchens, except when he gets going on Christianity. Here, he calls Obama’s foreign policy pronouncements “the futile squawkings of a cuckoo clock.” Lovely.

Hitchens and many others should have known that this POTUS would be completely clueless in handling foreign policy. So much for this “historic” presidency. I, for one, can’t wait until he’s gone…hope the voters have the sense to do it in 2012.
February 25, 2011
Yes, it’s a dirty shame that we can’t do something, something legal and totally non-violent, to make his Presidency “historic” much sooner than the end of 2012. Sometime like next week.

If Obama is re-elected in 2012, it would be funny except for the fact that I live in the United States.

TuaD
Yer man Iman Obama could very well be reelected if the Republicans nominate another McCain.
February 25, 2011
I believe that even those who “really believed” have to arrive at the conclusion that it was really “hokey-changey” not the mispronounced and misplaced ‘hopey-changey’. Check your local Democrat.
February 25, 2011
If the GOP voters elect another RINO like McCain, then the country reaps what it it has sown.
Just like the country is reaping what it has sown in electing Obama.
February 25, 2011
1. Mr Hitchens is, of course, not referring to the Switzerland which just voted to keep guns in the home. He is thinking of the country which picked Lenin over Trotsky.
2. If the GOP “nominates another McCain”, and the US voter again chooses Mr Obama, then it will demonstrate that Bismarck was correct.
Cheers

Don’t know about him being “secretly Swiss” but he’s a real jack@$$ in plain sight.
February 26, 2011
Not a Swiss in my opinion in the least!!! He’s so totally anti-Western, angering the British by getting rid of their Churchill bust, openly currying favour with Muslims and Communists (which some Westerners still remember with fear and loathing!), that to be a Swiss is categorically IMPOSSIBLE!!!!
I dare say he’s a Russian-style Communist à la Patrice Lumumba or a young Nelson Mandela: openly welcoming of Karl Marx (and therefore secretly also of Vladímir Iljích Ljéñin), quite thinking that he however for now can get away without using military force to implement his “perfect Communism” the way Salvador Allende tried to do, against Fidel Castro’s advice.
February 26, 2011
Secretly Swiss? Why not, he’s certainly not-so-secretly Muslim as well as probably secretly foreign-born.
Oh, yeah, he claims to be part Irish, too.

I see where Barry Oh! claims he called Angela Merkel, German Chancellor, and told her it is time for Daffi in Libya to “go.” Not all that comforting to know that Barry doesn’t draw lines in the sand until the point of indiscriminate slaughter of innocents is reached.
Actually, there is no evidence, other than Barry’s ever-flapping jaws, regarding what was said to Merkel.
My opinion is that Barry made a prank call (Them wacky dems!) and kept asking Merkel if she had Prince Albert in a can and whether her refrigerator was running, while Merkel kept asking, “Wer ist das?”
Coulda happened.
Don Janousek,
“and kept asking Merkel if she had Prince Albert in a can and whether her refrigerator was running”. Those questions haven’t been asked since “Zorro” replaced “Kilroy was here”.
Is this a great country or what? I hope we can survive the rest of the O-man’s term.
What a circus.
By the way, has anyone with intelligence asked and anwered the question of why all these “uprisings” in the Middle East right now? Has anyone with intelligence tried to determine who is behind all these “uprisings?”
I would hope that my government would be on top of that issue, but I am afraid that Barry, Hillary, Leon and company are so naive that, not only have these questions not seemed to be important, but they naively assume that they will not be important.
And there was all this wailing about how “lacking in foreign policy experience” Sarah Palin was.
Obama makes Palin look like Henry Kissinger by comparison!
Allen Lewis,
“By the way, has anyone with intelligence asked and answered the question of why all these “uprisings” in the Middle East right now?” I don’t claim intelligence but have a sense that Obama is viewed as weak and this is an opportune time to bust a move. I also suspect that the “pro democracy” groups will be pushed out once the photo ops are no longer necessary in providing cover for the real powers who will take over.

Ah, rather, Obama is their man and they know they can move with impunity and do whatever the #@*$%^! they want to do to Israel.
Obama has said as much plainly and publically to the United Nations Moslem, Homosex and Abortion Promotion organization in NYC in just so many words.
The Egyptian army fired on two Christian monasteries this past week. Pakistan and other moslem national governments are ignoring the increasingly vicious attacks on Christians throughout the Middle East. Iranian warships just passed through the Suez Canal and have harbored in a Syrian port. Things are heating up.
GOD is currently the only defender of Israel and of Jews and Christians on the earth today.

Rather that’s the United Nations Moslem, Homosex and Abortion Promotion *and Israel-hating* organization in NYC
