BEHIND THE SCENES AT THE MCJ

Thursday, October 28th, 2010 | Uncategorized

This is a bit of a cheap shot.  Actually this is a whole lot of a cheap shot but given Mrs. Schori’s recent reflections on dictatorship governmental “flexibility,” it seemed appropriate.  And in the immortal words of Daffy Duck, “What the hey, I gotta have some fun!”

Anyhoo, Corporate liked it(about damn time the suits gave me a little credit).  They liked it so much that for a limited time only, it’s going to appear on the large and small coffee mugs at the company store.

They make great gifts.  I realize that most of you have already finished your holiday shopping for this Saturday and if you ordered them now, you wouldn’t get them in time anyway.  But it never hurts to get an early start on Christmas presents for all those folks on your list.

And it’s for a good cause.

Mr.Johnson,
System won’t let me post on the Broken Clock thread and now claims a duplicate, although never posted it. Advice? Have copied my proposed post. Await your instructions. Thank you. Don Janousek

Genius, but I don’t know enough people I send presents to who’d get it, or even allow me to finish explaining.

The thought of putting that face up to my mouth made me throw up a little. Would make a fine pencil cup though.

Another cheap shot from a while back, but not as creative as yours, Christopher, and not available on a handy mug:

I beg to disagree about the “cheap shot” comment. Cheap Shots are generally undeserved… the PBJ is very deserving of such comments… Somehow though, I just don’t want to envision her in a leather outfit…

Don,

E-mail it to me, I’ll post it for you and make sure people know it’s yours.

Cliff,

Nice job, bro. You really ought to get yourself a CafePress account and sell that thing. And Chris Muir reads you? I am SO freaking jealous.

Christopher:

You very are welcome to put my up handiwork on CafePress and make a little jack for MCJ. After your counsel and advice last year when I needed it, it’s the least I can do. Or, give it to a worthy charity like LIFT STATION – a group that pays the expensive plumbing bills for poor people when their pipes clog up due to their low-flow ‘green’ toilets.

Actually, LIFT STATION doesn’t exist – I just made it up. But it would be a worthy cause if it did. Its the poor who usually suffer the consequences most when guilt-ridden, hyper-sensitive types try to force their value choices (which they can most easily afford) on everyone else. (See: Detroit, City of)One would hope Dr. Schori, a scientist, would examine the evidence scientifically and act accordingly.

Um, I think it’s the same Chris Muir. He has commented on RSR several times elsewhere. Interesting he commented on a ‘Piskie post…

“The thought of putting that face up to my mouth made me throw up a little. Would make a fine pencil cup though.”

… Well, you could start chewing tobacco. It’d make a great spitoon.

Sorry for ignorance, but what is “ZOD?”

Christopher Johnson

Zod was the villain in Superman II. “Kneel before Zod!!” was a line that he said more than once.

Oh good. I’ve been looking for a good image of “Ming the Merciless.”
